Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's largest automaker, will build 2,000 Sonata midsize sedans a year from kits in Thailand, its first production in the Southeast Asian country.

대한민국(Republic of South Korea라고 쓰라고!!)의 자동차업계의 한 축인 현대자동차가 중형 세단인 소나타 모델을 2000대 생산가능한 공장을 태국에 건설할 것이며 태국 등지의 남동부 아시아 국가(태국이나 홍콩, 중국에 팔아먹을 거란건가;;;)에 처음으로 건설되게 될것이다.

Hyundai Motor's Thailand sales agent will set up a production unit around September and will later assemble the cars at Thonburi Automotive Group, the Seoul-based automaker said in an e-mailed statement.

현대자동차의 태국 판매담당에이전트는 9월까지 생산공정을 준비할 예정이며 추후에 톤보리 자동차(이거 회사이름인데 검색하지 말라면 어떻게 쳐내란말야!!!)와 협조할 것이라고 서울에 본사기있는 자동차회사(=현대자동차)이메일로 통보했다.

Chairman Chung Mong-koo is relying on overseas expansion to achieve his goal of making Hyundai Motor and affiliate Kia Motors Corp. into the world's fifth-biggest automaker by 2010. The carmaker doesn't export cars to Thailand because of a 25 percent tariff on finished vehicles.

회장 정몽구씨는 그의 현대자동차와 지분을 가지고있는 기아자동차의 2010년에 세계 5대 자동차메이커로의 발전을 꾀하는 해외로의 확장에 관한 목표를 달성하기 위해 기대하고있다. 현대자동차는(카메이커를 이렇게 해석해도 될라나;;) 태국이 완성차량은 25%의 관세를 매기는것을 이유로 차를 수출하진 않을것으로 보인다.
